C954 Bronze

C954 Bronze

C954 Bronze Rod, Bar & Tube

C95400 Bronze, also known as C954 Aluminum Bronze or Nickel Aluminum Bronze, is a highly popular all-purpose alloy consisting of 10.8% aluminum, 83.2% copper, 4.0% iron, .50% magnesium, and 1.50% nickel. Blending these metals gives the alloy its features, including its high yield and tensile strength, weldability, good ductility, and exceptional resistance to wear, fatigue, and deformation under shock loading. It is the highest strength standard copper-based alloy and can be heat treated to increase the tensile strength.

Due to C954 bronze’s features, it is primarily used in applications within the general sea water-related services, water supply industry, structural building applications, and the oil and petrochemical industries. Specifically, you’ll find nickel aluminum bronze used for valve components, bearings, gears, wear plates and wear strips, landing gear components for aircrafts, engine components, bearing brushes, ship propellers, and underwater fasteners in naval architecture.
